Haltwhistle lies in a beautiful area rich in scenery and tranquility. It is an excellent area for walking with many public rights of way, a varied landscape and much heritage. Over the years the Partnership has been involved in a number of projects which have produced walks. The Burn Project walk leaflet 'A Walk Through Time' can be found here and you can download the Halwhistle Rings walks further down this page.

The World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall and the Hadrian's Wall National Trail are just a 2.5 mile walk following the Haltwhistle Burn. One of the walking routes can be found here.

The popular Haltwhistle Walking Festival takes place each year and full details can be found here.

The Haltwhistle Rings is a set of 22 walks around the Haltwhistle area as shown in the image below. All walks are 'circular' and return to their starting point.

Please note that the leaflets were produced some years ago and have not been updated, so some detail may be incorrect, although they all follow public rights of way, which are unlikely to have altered. The volunteers from the Haltwhsitle Walking Festival are currently updating the walks and we hope that uodated versions of the walks will be available in due course.
